The Port of Edinburgh
Visitors arriving by cruise have four convenient port options for exploring the city and beyond: ships dock directly at Leith and Rosyth, while South Queensferry and Newhaven offer tendering ashore.
Edinburgh is Scotland’s capital city, where medieval heritage meets vibrant modern life. At one end of the historic Old Town, stands the imposing Edinburgh Castle, offering incredible views and fascinating insights into Scottish history, while at the other lies Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the King here in Scotland. Both ends are connected by the Royal Mile.
Beyond Edinburgh, Scotland’s treasures continue to unfold. The beautiful university town of St. Andrews, the birthplace of golf, is just a short drive away and offers captivating coastal scenery and historic ruins. Alternatively, take the Outlander Trail, stepping into some real life locations used in the hit TV show and learn about the real life history beyond the saga of Claire and Jamie.
