Your day ashore in Scotland’s largest city begins with a visit to Kelvingrove Park, where you’ll enjoy a relaxing walk around the stunning Glasgow University campus. This area is home to impressive architecture, beautiful green spaces, and offers a glimpse into the city's rich academic history. The University is one of the oldest in the English speaking world and the largest in Scotland by student body.
Next, we’ll head to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, one of the city’s most beloved attractions. With its vast collection of art, artefacts, and exhibits spanning history, science, and culture, this museum is a must-see for any visitor to Glasgow. You'll have time to explore its galleries and marvel at the impressive displays.
After a delicious lunch nearby, we’ll visit Glasgow Cathedral, a stunning example of mediaeval architecture. With its rich history and striking design, the cathedral provides a peaceful moment to appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of Glasgow’s past.
We’ll then head to George Square to take in the grandeur of the City Chambers, Glasgow’s iconic civic building. Stroll through the square, surrounded by statues and impressive architecture, before continuing on to The Burrell Collection. Over the span of his life, Sir William Burrell amassed an impressive collection of art and historical objects, with over 9,000 items in total. This is all housed within a beautiful modernist building within Pollock Park.
With the best of Glasgow’s history, culture, and architecture explored, we’ll return to the cruise terminal, ending your memorable day ashore with us.

For any shore excursion in Scotland, preparation is key to enjoying your adventure comfortably. Our weather is famously changeable, so checking the forecast and dressing in layers is essential:
Light base layer
Sweater or fleece
Waterproof jacket
Comfortable shoes are also a must, as many destinations feature cobbled streets, rugged trails, or castle grounds that require footwear capable of handling different types of uneven surface.
While many places accept cards, having a bit of cash on hand can be helpful.
A small backpack is useful for carrying essentials like snacks, extra clothing, and any souvenirs you may pick up along the way.
Finally, don’t forget to bring a camera or smartphone to capture all those sights on your excursion with us!
