  • Your adventure ashore begins as we depart Greenock Cruise Terminal, heading into Scotland’s breathtaking West Highlands. Our first stop is the charming village of Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond. With its quaint cottages and stunning views across the loch, Luss is a perfect introduction to the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere of this iconic area. Take a stroll, soak up the scenery, and snap some photos of this historic spot.

Next, we’ll head to The Rest and Be Thankful viewpoint, a famous stop for travellers since the 18th century. Once a well-earned break for soldiers who made the steep climb, this spot now offers an unbeatable view of rolling hills and lush valleys. Take a moment here to breathe in the fresh Highland air and enjoy the stunning panorama.

Our journey continues to Inveraray, a picture-perfect town on Loch Fyne. Here, you’ll have time to explore Inveraray Castle (if it’s open), home to the Duke of Argyll and filled with fascinating history and gothic architecture. You’ll also enjoy lunch and free time to wander through the town, taking in its Georgian buildings and friendly Highland vibe.

Weather and access permitting, we’ll make a stop at Puck’s Glen for a short walk in this magical woodland gorge, with waterfalls cascading over mossy rocks. The trail has some uneven spots and a bit of a climb, but the scenery is worth it! We’ll finish the day with a scenic, 20-minute ferry ride across the river Clyde from Hunters Quay to Gourock - the cost of the ferry ride is included.

With the stunning sights of the West Highlands and memories of Scotland’s natural beauty, we’ll make our way back to the cruise terminal, concluding your unforgettable day ashore with us.

  • For any shore excursion in Scotland, preparation is key to enjoying your adventure comfortably. Our weather is famously changeable, so checking the forecast and dressing in layers is essential:

    • Light base layer

    • Sweater or fleece

    • Waterproof jacket

Comfortable shoes are also a must, as many destinations feature cobbled streets, rugged trails, or castle grounds that require footwear capable of handling different types of uneven surface.

While many places accept cards, having a bit of cash on hand can be helpful.

A small backpack is useful for carrying essentials like snacks, extra clothing, and any souvenirs you may pick up along the way.

Finally, don’t forget to bring a camera or smartphone to capture all those sights on your excursion with us!
